Rousing End to 2012

As the year comes to an end, staff at LKCMedicine may very well deserve a pat on their backs for a job well done in preparing the School for the historic year of 2013. For come August 2013, the School and the rest of Singapore will be welcoming the pioneer cohort of Singapore’s  second undergraduate medical school, more than 100 years after the first was established in 1905. Thanks to the School’s parent universities, Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University, the LKCMedicine MBBS programme is shaping up nicely, ensuring we will be ready to welcome our first cohort of students in August.

Further boosts can be expected early next year. Curriculum material will be further fine tuned while work on enhancing the iPad delivery of content is ramped up, in tandem with efforts to train our faculty in Team Based Learning, the enabler to collaborative learning at LKCMedicine. March and April will be crucial months as the School receives its main bulk of applications from prospective students. And by June 2013, the School headquarters at 11, Mandalay will be ready for the unveiling of our brand new administration, teaching and student facilities, which will complement the school’s superb interim facilities at NTU’s Research Techno Plaza.  Indeed, it’s been a rousing end to 2012. Let’s welcome 2013!
