In less than two months, we will welcome our inaugural cohort of students at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. The selection is now complete, and come 5 August, the medical school will receive its first 54 students.
Staff and faculty are now putting the final touches to our MBBS programme that is set to nurture these young minds into outstanding doctors of the future: competent, confident and compassionate medical professionals, who have been earmarked to be flag-bearers of our School's vision to redefine medicine and transform healthcare.
In this issue, our scribes write about the extensive preparations to ensure our students get the most of the modern and innovative curriculum that has been designed. At LKCMedicine, we strive to be student-centric. We seek to positively impact students' lives today so they become exceptional doctors tomorrow. So while our facilities are being finetuned, our learning infrastructure are undergoing stringent quality assurance tests. And while we add new hires to our international faculty, the student support and pastoral care component is getting significant attention.
With all the preparations in place, we are on the cusp of a new and exciting period for Singapore. We are proud to say that our students can look forward to a truly meaningful and enriching experience.
