Footloose at the Dinner & Dance
By Benedict Tan

It is the end of another academic year at LKCMedicine and what a year it has been! And what better way to celebrate it than with a fun-filled Dinner and Dance (D&D) held in the Lily Ballroom of the Riverview Hotel on 1 July.
The theme of this year’s D&D was Footloose, and the organising committee wanted everyone to enjoy a much needed post-exam de-stress and to celebrate the start of the holidays.
The organising committee worked hard to create a stunning photo booth to invoke a sense of 80s glamour in the guests and we were glad to see that it was wildly popular, with both students and faculty striking poses.

Our very own House Tutors put on an entertaining dry-land synchronised swimming performance, which got the crowd cheering for their 10/10 performance.
As with any D&D, the highlight of the many awards was the coveted title of D&D King and Queen. This year’s D&D King and Queen hopefuls competed over two rounds of games to loud cheers from their loyal supporters. Finally, Damon Tan and Clarice Yeo were crowned King and Queen. To end off the night, the dance floor was opened and we saw our professors show off their retro moves and groove to the beat along with the students. It was indeed a memorable night!
