Class of 2019
On the evening of 30 April, the second ever Peanut Butter & Jam took off - LKCMedicine's very own performing arts extravaganza. PB&J 2015 featured a wide repertoire of items, showcasing the diverse talents of our students.
The entertainment ranged from a hip-hop/contemporary dance performance from five M1 (first year) dancers, to nostalgic tunes from the 1960s, instrumental covers of National Day songs, and song performances by representatives from Alexander Fleming House as well as William Osler House - all courtesy of our incredibly talented M1 and M2 (second year) students.
A highlight of the night was a performance by Paul, an M1. The hunky heartthrob charmed the audience with his silky smooth soulful voice and guitar, performing songs like The Neighbourhood's Sweater Weather and Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran. By the end of his performance, he had amassed a large, swooning following (both female and male!), all enthralled by his riveting voice.
M1s Shawn Tan and Anees Rahman had the entire LT roaring with laughter with their comedy skit about the woes of male singlehood in medical school. The highlight was their hilarious guide to dance moves sure to win the affections of a member of the opposite sex.
The night ended with two duets; the first by Zachary and Claudia, and the second by LKCMedicine's famed songstress Weishan and her paired guitarist Delwyn. The four performers then performed the last song of the night together, voices and guitar notes plucking away at the audience's heartstrings.
It was a night full of laughs and amazing performances put up by the talented - and brave! - students of LKCMedicine. It was also an opportunity for a much-needed relaxation for faculty and students alike, before the frenzy of the exams begin in earnest.
