Much to crow about
Four graduates from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication & Information win accolades at the Crowbar Awards 2010, for their film “Epiphany”.

The film, “Epiphany”, picked up the Best of Show and Best of Film Craft at the Crowbar Awards 2010.

The work of alumni Han Xuemei, Flora Man Tse Kwan, Wendy Cheng Wan Yan and Lim Chee Harn, “Epiphany” was produced for their final year project.

It also clinched the Gold Award for Short Film, while Xuemei was awarded Gold for Directing, and Chee Harn awarded Silver for Cinematography. 

All four hailed from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication & Information (WKWSCI). They graduated this July.

The Crowbar Awards 2010 presentation ceremony was held on 20 August, at the Shangri-la Hotel, Singapore.

International attention
“Epiphany” was also selected for the 3rd Annual Vancouver Singapore Film Festival, for its high quality production and non-linear storytelling format.

Putting Singapore’s film industry at the forefront of the international scene, the festival showcases the best and most recent film productions in Singapore cinemas.

The screening of “Epiphany” was during the festival’s Closing Night on Saturday, 18 September.

The festival was held at the Vancouver International Film Centre in Vancouver, Canada, from 17 to 18 September.
