Editor's Corner

By Nicole Lim
The LKCMedicine Editor

Welcome to the October issue of The LKCMedicine! In this issue, we take a look at what makes LKCMedicine attractive to prospective students and their parents, as well as up-and-coming research faculty.

This issue is also brimming with student stories from an inside view of the clinical years to reports from students who've been to Cambodia and Thailand on overseas community involvement projects and field trips to establish new links with healthcare institutions.

The last couple months have seen a number of big developments at the School – including the opening of the Singapore Phenome Centre, which will study the impact of how we live on our health, and the big bang NTU Fest, where LKCMedicine had a starring role. LKCMedicine Medical Society also held its first ever healthcare-focused community and overseas community involvement project recruitment fair and we hear from the LKCMedicine Dean on the role of the art of medicine in the 21st century.

As always, we also have the latest news, developments and curriculum updates for you.

Happy reading!
