New Look of LKCMedicine

Now that we’re off the blocks and getting into our stride to admit the School’s first intake, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is announcing a new look that comes with its new Vision, Mission and Value statements.

For this new look, our interim logo has been re-casted.

Partnerships that move the future forward is the concept behind the shape of the logo. The logo depicts two polygons clasp together, akin to a handshake, an interlocking structure that supports and creates a new whole. Our new logo celebrates ‘vibrant confluence’ at several levels: the meaningful partnership between our two parent universities – Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University, the synergy between teacher and student as well as doctor and patient, and the deeper affinity with humanity. This vibrant confluence ignites new possibilities and is the key inspiration behind our logo.

New Logo

Our logo is now swathed in ‘Synergy Purple’ and ‘Noble Grey’, exuberating LKCMedicine’s passion to transform the landscape of healthcare. Born from the union of the NTU red and Imperial blue, Synergy Purple celebrates LKCMedicine’s parentage while at the same exudes a fresh dynamism of its own. Purple is the energy of inspiration and innovation that springs from the fusion of the school’s parent institutions. Noble Grey is stately, practical and timeless. It represents the noble traditions and values of the medical profession, the solid foundation upon which LKCMedicine builds in its quest to change the future of healthcare. Together, this melding of creativity and professionalism sparks new paradigms that redefine the future of medical education. With its energetic colour combination and fluid angular shape, as a whole the logo strides forward with momentum, connoting transformation and progress.

While our name stays, the School has a new shortened name for ease of reference. LKCSoM is now LKCMedicine, short for Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

We’ll be launching our new look website soon and both the website and future printed materials will carry our new Vision, Mission and Value statements, as well as the new logo and our purple and grey corporate colours.
