Building bridges between students and alumni
Student Alumni Associates recognised for their efforts in cultivating alumni relations

At the appreciation dinner held on 25 March, 53 Student Alumni Associates (SAA) were honoured for their contribution and spirit of volunteerism. This brings the total number of SAAs to 505 to date.

Initiated by the NTU Alumni Affairs Office in 2007, the SAA programme recognises existing students who play a pivotal role towards the development and cultivation of alumni relations amongst the student and alumni networks.

These students devote their time and diverse talents, helping to organise various alumni events. Through these ways, the SAAs form a bridge which connects NTU’s students with the alumni, playing an important role in keeping the NTU community closely knit.

Mr Soon Min Yam, Director of Alumni Affairs, expressed his appreciation to the group of dedicated students.

“On behalf of NTU, I thank you for your passion, commitment and dedication. As NTU students and its future alumni, your ties to this family are life-long. I hope that in years to come, even after you have graduated, you continue to gain valuable guidance from alumni through networking opportunities,” said Mr Soon.

During the presentation ceremony, the SAAs were presented with a Certificate as well as a token of appreciation. This was followed by a buffet dinner, which allowed the student leaders an opportunity to network with fellow friends.
