Nanyang Business School alumnus Peter Ng Joo Hee is the new police chief. He takes over as the Commissioner of Police on 1 February 2010, giving up his current position as Director of Prisons.
Joo Hee did his MBA with specialisation in Accountancy from Nanyang Business School in 1998 and was the winner of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore's Gold Medal.

After his MBA from Nanyang Business School, Joo Hee did his Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University in 2001.
Joo Hee graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Engineering and Economics from the University of Oxford on an Overseas Police Force Scholarship in 1988.
During his 24 years with the Singapore Police Force, Joo Hee, 43, has held various key appointments, including that of Deputy Director, Criminal Investigation Department and Director, Police Intelligence Department.
Joo Hee is on the board of directors of the Energy Markets Authority (Ministry of Trade and Industry) and Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises (Ministry of Home Affairs).
