On her very first visit to NTU as Imperial President, Professor Alice Gast had a packed itinerary that included a visit to LKCMedicine’s Headquarters in Novena to hear from senior faculty about the School’s innovative MBBS programme, integrated research strategy, vibrant student life and cutting-edge campus development.
LKCMedicine shares experience with Japanese prefectural government
On 19 January, LKCMedicine hosted a delegation from the Kanagawa Prefectural Government, Japan, at its Novena Headquarters. The prefectural government is planning to set up a new medical school. Led by Dr Kenji Shuto, Special Assistant to the Governor of Kanagawa Prefectural Government, the delegation wanted to learn from LKCMedicine’s experience of setting up a new medical school.
NTU hosts 3rd Global Young Scientists Summit
Organised by the National Research Foundation, the third Global Young Scientists Summit was held at NTU from 19 to 23 January. Three hundred young scientists from around the world engaged with some of the world’s top scientific minds. As part of the event, LKCMedicine’s senior management and scientists hosted a group of postdoctoral fellows and PhD students from various institutions including the Karolinska Institutet, Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Nanjing and Tokyo.
LKCMedicine Year 2 students take their formative OSCE
On 24 January, LKCMedicine Year 2 students had their formative Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), conducted at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The students completed a circuit of eight stations, covering clinical methods, clinical communication and practical skills.
