It’s The LKCMedicine’s August issue and that means only one thing - the School welcomes the Class of 2021. As befits tradition, in this issue, we meet some of our newest students (from aspiring medical aid workers to forensic pathologists), find out what’s inspired them to study medicine and why LKCMedicine is the right fit for them. In turn, four key teams at the School give them their tips on how to get the most out of the many resources available.

We talk to Professor of Neuroscience & Mental Health George Augustine about consciousness, get to know Humanity in Healthcare Award winner and Class of 2018 student Lee Soon Hong and find out what you can do with timber from humble roadside trees. We also have a curriculum update on what’s in store for Year 4, find out how Imperial has benefitted from our partnership, as well as all the latest news and happenings.

Happy reading!
