NTU’s Vietnamese alumni gather for some networking and reminiscing fun

Vietnamese alumni of NTU caught up with their fellow countrymen at the NTU Vietnamese Alumni Get-Together. Held for the fourth time running, the get-together was organised by NTU’s International Undergraduate Committee (IUC) - Vietnam, and supported by the Alumni Affairs Office. The event saw a turnout of about 120 Vietnamese alumni and students, currently residing in Singapore.

Guest-of-honour, NTU Provost, Professor Freddy Boey spoke about his experience with the Vietnamese community and emphasised the important role alumni play in supporting NTU students. He said: “As alumni, you are a crucial pillar to propel the University to greater heights. I also urge you to continue supporting the Vietnamese students in NTU and their activities. Our students would be grateful to receive encouragement and support from their seniors and fellow countrymen.”

The event was a vibrant one, with musical performances put up by students and interactive games for guests. The evening ended with a lucky draw and alumni and students were heard making plans for another gathering very soon.

The NTU Vietnamese Alumni Get-Together was held at Grid New Media Studios @ *SCAPE, on Saturday, 18 February 2012.
