This November will see the addition of a new signature event to the global healthcare conference calendar. FutureHealth 2017, jointly organised by LKCMedicine, NTU Institute for Health Technologies (HealthTech NTU), and the Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI), will focus on healthcare transformation through new technologies and workforce innovations. The conference, which will coincide with the second CHI Conference on Workforce Transformation, will be held from 8 to 10 November at LKCMedicine’s city campus in Novena.

The conference will bring together international and local expert speakers for in-depth discussions around the theme of “Innovations Transforming Healthcare” via two interconnecting tracks. The Workforce Transformation track will explore ways to strengthen the capabilities of the healthcare and informal workforce to build a future-ready workforce; while the Medical Technology Innovations track aims to feature innovations in healthcare technology and their applications towards sustaining health.

In a joint message, Conference Chairs LKCMedicine Executive Vice-Dean Professor Lionel Lee and CHI Executive Director Mr David Dhevarajulu wrote, “Singapore is well-placed to host this conference that will offer a rich and exciting preview into the future of healthcare. The conference programme has been designed to challenge our notion of healthcare transformation 50, 100 years from today.”

Among the stellar line-up of speakers from the fields of medicine, academia and health technology is Professor Barry Marshall, Nobel Laureate in Physiology and Medicine.

The programme will showcase invited talks, debates and workshops, poster presentations, technical demonstrations, exhibitions, site visits, networking opportunities as well as the much-lauded National Healthcare Innovation and Productivity Medals presentation ceremony.

The array of research presentations, discussions and exchanges will offer participants new perspectives and ideas, and may form the origin of exciting international collaborations and associations.

Added the chairs, “We hope that you will join us for what promises to be an exhilarating meeting of minds of medical leaders, policy-makers, healthcare practitioners, researchers and health-tech industry players.”
