“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”, so the saying goes. At LKCMedicine, our students certainly cannot be accused of that. Despite their heavy work load, our students have thrown themselves wholeheartedly into ensuring they enjoy student life to the fullest. Whether it’s Inter-House Games, Inter- Faculty Games or organising their own Cohort Dinner, the Freshman Orientation Camp and even an overseas community outreach mission, they have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm and resourcefulness.
Find out what our students have up their sleeves in our In Focus feature All Abuzz About Student Life.
Also in this issue, our Profile feature is on LKCMedicine’s new Vice-Dean, Research, Professor Philip Ingham FRS. A world renowned scientist in the field of developmental genetics who is concurrently LKCMedicine’s Toh Kian Chui Distinguished Professor, Professor Ingham joins our core leadership team responsible for mapping the growth and development of the School. Learn more about his views on
his new roles in the Profile section.
It seems not so very long ago when we welcomed our inaugural cohort and now, we are already planning to welcome our second! The LKCMedicine Open House takes place on 8 March at our Yunnan Garden Campus and we are looking forward to engaging with potential new student and letting them know that at LKCMedicine, work-life balance is indeed possible!
