When the NBS team for the International Case Competition in Maastricht (ICC@Maastricht) got grounded due to the flight disruptions caused by the volcanic ash, quick thinking students formed an alternate team of exchange students in Europe. Their efforts were highlighted by the Straits Times in its prime news pages along with the photo of the new team. Even poor transportation and overwhelming physical distance could not deter their determination as proved by one NBS exchange student who persevere and travelled for 16 hours covering 705km to be at the competition.
